Terms of service

Last updated October 19, 2026 · MopHop, a cleaning service by H&E Cleaning Services LLC, Bandon, Oregon

These terms are the agreement between you and MopHop when you use mophop.app or book a clean. MopHop is a cleaning service run by H&E Cleaning Services LLC, an Oregon company ("MopHop", "we", "us"). By making an account or booking a clean you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use MopHop.

1. What MopHop is

MopHop cleans homes, vacation rentals, managed properties and businesses, starting on the southern Oregon coast. The cleaning is done by Hoppers — MopHop's own crew. They apply, a MopHop lead approves them, and MopHop pays them through payroll. When you book, you're hiring MopHop, not an individual Hopper. Each town is run by a MopHop lead, who sets prices, assigns cleans and handles problems.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or older and give us true information. You sign in with a code sent to your email; keep access to that email to yourself, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at help@mophop.app right away if you think someone else is using it.

3. Places and prices

Before anything is booked, you tell us about the place: the address, what kind of place it is, its size, how to get in, pets, and what you need. A MopHop lead approves it with a price per clean, asks to see it first, or declines it. We don't have to give a reason. The size and price of a place are what MopHop approved; if the place changes, tell us and we'll re-price it. Business cleans and managed places are quoted by the lead. We suggest a deep clean as the first clean of a new place; it's your choice.

4. Booking

The price of a clean is the price MopHop set, plus any add-ons you choose, and the full total is shown before you book. Every price you see includes any pet fee — there are no hidden fees. You need a card on file to book. Cleans are booked at least a day ahead; for something sooner, email help@mophop.app. We accept cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

5. The card hold and the charge

The day before a clean (or right away, if it's that close), MopHop places a hold for the total on the card. A hold isn't a charge: nothing is taken until the clean is done. A clean can't start until the hold is confirmed. If the hold doesn't go through, the clean comes off the schedule, nobody comes out, and you're emailed to fix the card. When the crew finishes the clean with the required photos, the held amount is charged and a receipt is emailed. If the hold has expired by then, the card is charged the same total. If a charge fails after a clean is done, the amount is still owed and we'll ask you to pay it with another card. If a clean is canceled, the hold is released.

6. Managed places, quotes and the property owner

If you manage a place for someone else (a realtor or property manager), you can ask for a clean of that place. The lead sends a quote with the price, the kind of clean and the start time. The quote is accepted by whoever pays: you, your company, or the property owner. When the owner pays, MopHop emails them a private link that works for 14 days; they review the quote, add their own card and approve it — no account needed — and the manager is never charged. Accepting a quote books the clean. If the quote changes later (price, time, scope, or who pays), it's a new quote: the clean stays on the calendar, but the crew can't start until the new quote is accepted, and the hold is updated to the new total.

7. Interior removal

You can add removal of items from inside a place. It's always priced by the lead from your photos or a visit — there's no price list. Only the items you showed and the lead quoted are removed; anything else needs new photos and a new yes. We don't take paint, chemicals, propane, fuel or anything hazardous. By asking for removal you confirm you have the right to have those items removed and disposed of. Removal is charged together with the clean, after the clean, on one receipt.

8. Canceling and lockouts

  • Canceling 24 hours or more before the start is free.
  • Inside 24 hours, half the cleaning price is charged once a Hopper has been assigned. If nobody is assigned yet, it's still free.
  • If the crew arrives and can't get in, we tell you right away. You have 30 minutes from the start time (or from when they tell us, if that's later) to let them in. After that a MopHop lead may charge the full cleaning price.
  • Cancel and lockout fees are on the cleaning price only — never on a removal that didn't happen.
  • The Hoppers who had the clean are paid a share of any of these fees.
  • MopHop can cancel or move a clean — for example if nobody is available, the weather makes it unsafe, or a synced checkout disappears. If MopHop cancels, you're not charged.

9. Calendar sync

If you turn on calendar sync for a place, MopHop reads the calendar link you gave us (Airbnb, VRBO or similar) when you turn it on and every few hours after that. For every checkout it finds, MopHop books a turnover for that day at the time you chose, with the next check-in as the deadline. Turning sync on is your instruction to book those cleans. If a checkout disappears more than 24 hours before its clean, we cancel that clean and tell you; inside 24 hours, a lead decides. Only cleans the sync created are ever changed. If the link stops working, sync pauses and you're emailed.

10. The clean itself

One or more Hoppers do each clean; you see their first name, last initial and photo once they're assigned. You, the Hoppers on the clean and the town lead share one message thread for it. The crew sees your street address, door details, house photos and clean notes from 24 hours before the clean until 24 hours after it's done. A clean goes On my way → Started → Done, in order and on schedule. Each required room needs an after-photo before the clean can finish, and you see the photos right away. If the crew finishes much earlier than booked, they give a reason, which you can see. The crew may stop and leave if a place isn't safe.

11. Your place and what you tell us

You agree that what you tell us about a place is true, that you have the right to have it cleaned (and any removal done), that it's safe to work in, and that someone will let the crew in or the access you gave works. Tell us about pets, alarms, fragile or valuable items, and anything else the crew should know. Please put away cash, jewelry, medication and anything irreplaceable before a clean.

12. Tips and reviews

Tips are optional, added after a clean, charged to the same card, and go entirely to the crew. After a paid clean you and each Hopper may review each other. Reviews stay hidden until both are in or 7 days pass, and can't be edited or deleted once sent; you can flag one you think is unfair. Keep reviews honest and about the clean.

13. Damage, problems and our responsibility

If something is damaged, missing or not done right, report it from the clean as soon as you can — within 48 hours — with photos, and the lead will work it out with you, which may mean a re-clean, a repair, or a refund for the affected part. MopHop stands behind its crew's work during a booked clean. We're not responsible for normal wear, things that were already damaged or poorly secured, items you didn't tell us were fragile or valuable, or anything that happens outside a booked clean. To the extent the law allows, MopHop's total responsibility for any clean is limited to what you paid for that clean, plus the actual cost to repair or replace anything our crew damaged during it, and we're not liable for indirect losses such as lost bookings or lost income. Nothing here limits rights the law says can't be limited.

14. Not hiring each other away

While you use MopHop and for 2 years after your last clean, you agree not to hire a Hopper you met through MopHop to clean for you outside MopHop, directly or through someone else, unless you first pay MopHop's buyout fee (ask us for the amount). Hoppers agree to the same rule in reverse.

15. Disputes and chargebacks

If you're unhappy with a charge, email help@mophop.app first — most things are fixed in a day. Disputing a charge with your bank for a clean that was done, without contacting us first, may close your account. If we can't sort something out together, it goes to small claims court in Coos County, Oregon, or another Oregon court if small claims doesn't apply.

16. Closing an account

You can stop using MopHop any time and ask us to delete your account (see Privacy). MopHop may close an account or refuse cleans for theft, damage, harassment, an unsafe place, fraud, repeated lockouts, or chargebacks on cleans that were done. Anything you owe for cleans already done is still owed.

17. The rest

Don't use MopHop to break the law, harass anyone, or move money that isn't for a clean, and don't try to get into parts of the app or data that aren't yours. The app is provided as it is; we work hard to keep it running but can't promise it will never be down. These terms are governed by Oregon law. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update them; when we do, the date at the top changes and we tell you in the app before the change applies to you.
